" I am please to announce the recent acquisition of ...my mom's dress form into the the permanent collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum / Renwick Gallery
My work is an inquiry into the nature of being human. The issues that arise are universal and cross the lines that separate gender and culture. The process of work is an active conversation; I listen and respond and hold close the concept, that an idea is alive and seeks its own form. Many of the pieces require some installation, integrating them into the space and asking more of the viewer.
